How do I delete this app?

I started download this app, I forgot what it's called but it has a Panda Face wearing a Chef Hat on it, and it's stuck on waiting. It's been like this for days, and it bothers me, since I can't delete it. I tap and hold it, but there's no X at the top left, so can I delete it? Or is it permanent? This is on an iPod Touch Version 4.2.1 btw.
