Perhaps inadvertently I invented a cure for the cough, what do you think?

I live in the last floor of a bedsit,im the only one who have my own wc and kitchen,all the others unforntunately have to use the same wc,so i pass the night earing people slamming doors and walking in the hallway because the sound insulation is not the best.Underneath me lives my neighbor and when she have her tv turned on i can hear but at a low volume,I dont know if she hears mine tv, it's easier to hear the sound of the TV from downstairs to the upper or the opposite?And she usually cough, im hearing she coughing about two months and there seems not a normal cough ,its a genre of strange cough since it seems that it is forced or inducede especially when my house is silent,and when I turn on my TV she ceases coughing ,perhaps inadvertently I invented a cure for the cough, what do you think?
