New home. how would you react you were in this situation?

its a new build. im trying to get a much stuff for the interior decor whilst not working and i think you can appreciate how hard that is financially. my husband is helping get it all done with me, but my big problem is im not fully moved in yet but the past two weeks iv been living there and alot of my personal stuff is in the bedrooms but my huusband is treating it like a showhouse. what i mean by that is we might as well put a sign up saying all welcome just knock and enter. a lot of locals do pass some do call in, for me i feel its gone past letting people in to look in every room in the house. it pi$$in me right off no end. his family are forever calling over and i dont want to be showing them a half painted or decorated room. Am i over re-acting?
