How do I get a metal pole on The Sims 2 Castaway DS once i've already used one to make a crowbar?

I was playing The Sims 2 Castaway on DS and I went to go craft the fire for the chef and I needed a metal pole. I had already used the pole while making a crowbar. What am I supposed to do?
